If you work on miniatures and you don’t have a mini table saw – you are missing out!!!

For years I have been using a little hand saw and miter box (which I have still use regularly, too.) But I struggle with getting my cuts straight when items are too large to fit inside the miter box. And if I need to make a lot of repeat cuts, my hand will get sore.

I have my little table saw, which is only 7.1*5.5*2.95 inch (18*14*7.5 cm), set up right next to the dollhouse that I am currently working on. The blades are easy to change, and you can change the height. Replacement blades are readily available for cutting different materials. The guides are super handy to get the correct angles and length.

As you can see from the picture it comes with an external pipe for dust collecting. I added a vacuum cleaner bag to it with a rubber band to collect the dust.

More on the blades:

The blades are 63 mm (2 1/2″) in diameter, which is standard for these mini table saws. Since I typically am cutting wood for the dollhouse, I use the HSS Saw blade the most. However, the others have been handy to have. The second blade I tend to use the most is the Alloy steel saw blade for cutting acrylic sheets.

The HSS Saw blades also come in different thicknesses. I use the .5 mm and the .8 mm depending on the wood that I am cutting.

I have been using my mini table-saw for over a year now and it keeps going strong.
